Copyright and removals
Muralry holds two kinds of plate. Credited ones name the artist and carry a licence the artist chose. Unattributed ones were contributed by people who did not make them and could not say who did — hosted pending identification, and taken down on request without argument.

Email reaches the agent fastest. The postal address is published because section 512 requires it, not because posting a letter is the better route.
What a notice needs
You do not need a lawyer or a template. A message identifying the work and the plate is enough to have it removed. The list below is what the statute asks for, and matters mainly if a matter goes further than a removal:
- your signature, physical or electronic;
- the work you say is infringed;
- the plate to be removed — its
muralry.com/w/…address; - how to reach you: address, telephone, email;
- a statement that you believe in good faith the use is not authorised;
- a statement, under penalty of perjury, that the notice is accurate and that you are the owner or authorised to act for them.
What happens next
Removal within 24 hours, usually sooner. The image file is deleted. The database row survives, recording that something was removed, when, and why — a takedown that leaves no trace is indistinguishable from a plate that never existed, and "removed on this date at this person's request" is the only answer worth having later.
The file's fingerprints go onto a blocklist at the same moment, so the same picture cannot be added again — including re-encoded, rescaled or lightly cropped copies. You should have to ask once. If you would rather none of your work ever appeared here, say so and your name goes on the list instead of a single file.
Counter-notice
If your work was removed and you believe that was a mistake — you are the artist, or the licence did permit it — write to the same address with the plate address, your contact details, and a statement under penalty of perjury that you believe it was removed in error. Where the removal was our mistake it is simply reversed. Where two people disagree about who holds the rights, the plate stays down until they no longer do.
Repeat infringers
Accounts whose contributions are repeatedly removed at a rights holder's request are terminated. In practice: a first removal is treated as a mistake and explained, a second is a warning, a third ends the account and withdraws its remaining contributions. Accounts made to evade a termination are terminated on sight.
This is not a formality. The catalogue only works if the people adding to it care whether the attribution is right, and someone who repeatedly does not is making the site worse at the single thing it exists to do.

Removal is always available and always immediate.
